Día del Amigo
En la Argentina se festeja el 20 de Julio como el Día del Amigo, rememorando la existencia de la amistad, y aunque en varios países más se festeja en esta fecha no lo es así en todo el mundo. Los orígenes de esta celebración tienen raíces en Argentina, sucede que la conmemoración del Día Internacional del Amigo fue impulsada por el señor Enrique Ernesto Febbraro (1924-2008), oriundo de Lomas de Zamora, Provincia de Buenos Aires, allá por mediados del siglo XX.
Todo surgió al momento de que el hombre llegaba por primera vez a la Luna, el 20 de Julio del año 1969, al doctor y profesor Febbraro, quien fuera socio fundador del Rotary Club del barrio San Cristóbal, se le ocurre enviar 1000 cartas a distintos puntos del planeta. Luego de esto llegó a recibir unas 700 correspondencias aproximadamente de vuelta en respuesta a su mensaje inicial, quedando desde ese momento y para siempre instaurado el Día del Amigo.
Como costumbre para este día se suelen reunir masivamente en grupos de amigos, celebrar comiendo o simplemente juntándose, cosa que uno puede realizar todos los días, pero para esta fecha se potencia y los sectores gastronómicos y el comercio en general obtiene algún que otro rédito durante el festejo.

Today, I went to the beach with my children. I found a sea shell and gave it to
my 4 year old daughter and said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
