Día del Comercio y del Comerciante en Argentina
La fecha fue elegida por los comerciantes pioneros de nuestro país con el objetivo de reunirse y compartir sus experiencias. Con el paso del tiempo recordar el oficio y la profesión de los comerciantes se convirtió en una costumbre anual. La Bolsa de Comercio y la Sociedad Rural son dos entes vinculados al establecimiento de esta fecha.
El 10 de julio se encuentra muy ligado al comercio ya que en esta fecha pero del año 1854 se fundó la Bolsa de Comercio en Buenos Aires.
Además en 1866 se constituyó la Sociedad Rural Argentina, entidad que representa al sector Agroindustrial.
Por estos motivos y por una antigua costumbre, hoy se celebra el día del comerciante en nuestro país.
En derecho mercantil, los comerciantes son aquellas personas que realizan actividades mercantiles de manera habitual. Es importante tener en cuenta que no toda persona que realice un acto comercial ocasional, como por ejemplo la compra en un comercio, es considerado comerciante.
